Good afternoon Hubland Looking for a group or starting a group if needs be, alternating between road and mtb rides in PTA (Monumentpark area) thinking of doing Groenkloof x2 per week (Monday and Friday perhaps) and then road on Wednesday (hoping for some input on routes here) and then alternating the road/mtb every week. Hi there Hubland Recently moved to PTA from JHB, could anyone give me some guidance on safe(ish) routes for a road bike around the area, preferably wide emergency lanes, intersections that are reasonable to cross and decent distance. I know this is asking a lot, any guidance will be much appreciated.

Ha ha, no it really isn’t, and also the guards there have NO sense of humour. I eventually had to point out to them exactly what bad shape my companions were in, and that the added 30ks to Heidelberg side would kill them, asked him if he was keen to deal with the admin on that, he didn't seem to find it quite as funny as I did! Matter of fact, neither did the two of them! Luckily for me this incident played out before any serious climbing or distance in the legs, or I might have been the dead one!
