The Witklip MTB Winter Challenge is one of the best winter MTB events in the greater Gauteng region.

Great farm riding with custom-built single track, jeep track, farm roads, river crossings and much more. Amazing farm style food and drinks like pancakes, jaffles, boerie rolls and "moer koffie" with condense milk will be available in abundance! An don't forget about the winter morning bonfire, a pre-race sip of Old Brown sherry, the big chill zone and craft beer at the finish.

Distances: 60km / 27km / 10km

 

Start time: 09:00am

Entry Fees: 10km - R110 / 27km - R170 / 55km -R210

R20 surcharge for on-the-day entries (no medals for on-the-day entries)

Route Description:

Each distance is a full circular loop (no laps) on mostly single track, jeep track and farm roads.

​

Medals & Prizes: Results will be for all categories in all distances but there will only be prizes for the overall winners of the main race (the 60km).

Prize giving with loads of lucky draw prizes from our sponsors.

Timekeeping: This is a SA Seeding event. All riders will be timed and results will be published on the WildTrail SA website.

​

Waterpoints: There will be 2 water points on the 60km route, 1 water points on the 27km route and no water point on the 10km route. We always advise riders to also carry water with them.

 

Products on display and for sale: Our sponsors and partners will have stands at the event where riders, family and friends can view and buy all the latest sport products.

​

Food & Drinks: Lovely fresh produce market, food, beer and a great vibe can also be enjoyed afterwards so bring the whole family.
