The Kamberg Classic has earned a reputation as one of the best races on the calendar and caters for all riders with 3 choices of distances: 25km, 45km and the 65km Classic. There is also a 5km kids fun run/ride. The event is a mix of jeep track, farm roads, forest trail and sublime single track. Andrew hill said, “The route was spectacular, up there with the best in the country. Some amazing effort went into the planning of what should be a race to add to most people’s calendar for 2017.” What makes this ride really special is that it brings the mountains back into mountain biking and from the top of the Kamberg the views over the Drakensberg and the descents are spectacular!

 

After the race riders can enjoy a complimentary burger plus, the first 100 entrants of the 65km Classic will receive a Kamberg Classic camo peak. The Kamberg Classic is hosted at Glengarry Holiday Farm, an awesome venue just 1 hours easy drive from PMB. If you would like to bring your family along and make a weekend of it, then accommodation at Glengarry is in self-catering cottages or camping. On Saturday there will be a casual trail run/ride and a potjie around the fire pit in the evening. On Race day there will be food and great coffee available.
