Giant Revel 29er or else?

I'm looking at a new bike and Giant Revel 29er looks good. Also where a good place to buy Gauteng or Western Cape.

Before I buy anyone with advice or maybe a similar bike in different brand better?

I'm 1.82m tall and looks like a medium should work for me.

my first mtb was revel...i am 1.8m i bought a large...tried the medium but felt like i was going to go over the handlebars down a steep single track.

2 reasons why i sold it after many km of enjoyment...the cost to upgrade the fork and the shape of the part where it goes into the frame...at my age the hard tail was killing me on long rides...i paid R5000 for it and sold it for R5000 without spending a cent on it...even as a fattie around 128 kg i had no issue with wheels...frame etc.

Still have my Revel, and still enjoy it. Maybe even more than the DS, but I must admit it is only the frame that is still Revel. The rest were upgraded over the years, but only when needed.

Fork was the first to go, although I think the new ones comes with Air fork already.

I would suggest Large. Medium will be to small for you.

Go large. If the fork goes within 1 year Giant will replace .Still have mine.Does not bounce around like a lighter bike and more stable when the southeaster pumps. After 5 years only major work done was to rebuild rear wheel.
