Scott CR1 20 Carbon 2014 - stronger rims required

Have recently been snapping spokes on my standard rims that came with my Scott CR1 20 and getting concerned

It happens during fast descents esp of the road gets a bit uneven

I am a large guy at 1.86m and 112kg

Any advice on how to deal with the challenge without breaking the bank ?

Thanks

I'd start by getting the wheels rebuilt, spec sheet says Syncros rims on Formula hubs which means most likely machine built, and it looks like 2 cross rear and radial front.

Aim for 3 cross at the back, double butted spokes and brass nipples, built by someone who knows what stress relieving is.

Should cost you about R 2k all in, which is well cheaper than a new wheelset.
