Advice Needed Norco Charge 2

Hey guys. I’ve got a itch to get a new 29er hard tail (Large) for around 12k-14k and saw a new brand Norco, specifically interested in the charger 2 model. The guy at the local bike shop said it’s well specced for the price of 12k. Currently selling my Trek Excaliber 7. I do races from time to time, did the K2C this year, and definitely doing it next year again. Any recommendations as im not sure about the Norco. Any other recommendations would be appreciated

I know nothing about the model in question, but Norco has been around the block a few times. Might be new and unknown in SA, but they have a long & distinguished history of producing great bicycles.
