The Giant Pumpkin Festival MTB Race & Trail Run is an event that has been added to the popular Giant Pumpkin Festival.

 

The festival will celebrate, as usual, the Largest Pumpkins in South Africa and also host a Golf Day, MTB Race & Trail Run as well as amazing Food Stalls with Live Music and dance.

 

There will be a 25km and 60km MTB Race, with Prizes of R10,000

If this race goes through the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy trails, then it is worth it. And it will be hard.

Reckon I should really up the family and Sommer make a weekend out of it.

Hi Phillip, we are hoping to take a section of the 60km race through Grootvadersbosch, but at the same time we want to make the race more accessible to all MTB riders. We have opened some closed roads for the day and expect the event to be a blast. It's a fantastic day for the family and not just the riders. There will amazing food stalls, live music and of course the biggest pumpkins in Africa!

Hi Nick, you don't mention singletrack in the 60km race, will there be any and if so how much?

 

The R10k prize money, is that just for the mtb race and trail run?
