Stem or Steerer Flex?

Bars are definitely not flexing as then would get flex on both sides simultaneously.....

 

I'm very much leaning towards sidewall flex on the Ardent tyre.

Bars are getting so wide that the forces cause "flex" everywhere through the front-end. Just live with it.

And if you ride low pressures, as you should, you will notice it even more. I recall all the hype about through axles giving front end stiffness and me being flamed because I said what's the point if you are running 1.5 to 1.7 bar Tyre pressure.

I went to my LBS (good reputation) and they agreed that its tyre flex. Also tightened stem to bar clamp which has helped.

He reckons I should run my rear tyre (Crossmark 2.1) around 2,2 - 2,5 and front (Ardent 2.25around 2 bar).
