I love the artwork on those bikes. Does the fork carry a warranty?

Do yourself a favour and find out. My 'goose came with the Suntour X100 that decided to die after less that a year's worth of abuse. I waited too long and had to pay for a replacement, whereas they would've replaced it under warranty if I took it in earlier (apparently).

 

If the fork starts to shudder when you hit the brakes, take it back to the shop pronto!

very nice......what did you pay if I may ask.  am considering on getting something similar myself.

Mbaymike I payed R4400 cash for it. I also had a look at the Silverback Phoenix which was R4100 but its components weren't as good and its cable disk brakes weren't as good as the Mongoose V-brakes. By buying the Mongoose I can upgrade to hydralic disks AND have decent components- something the guy at my LBS pointed out and does make sense.

thanks keith.....I thought that the pheonix had better components than the mongoose...good to know.  Maybe I should rather look at the mongoose then.  enjoy the bike!!!
