Natashap Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Hi Guys I need some help. I just bought a XTR M980 Chain Casette and a XT 10Speed Chain will this work together. And last question my bike is 3 x 10 Speed, What do i need know in front for it to be running smooth, Sorry want to replace the 3 front Rings but dont know if you buy them as a combo or do you buy the separate.
Guest Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 The casette and chain are both 10 speed design so it will work fine. The front chain rings can be bought seperately. most often it is better to change all 3 at the same time due to similar wear but if you have budget constraints change only those that you need to.
Guest Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 PS. you dont have to go XT, XTR, on the chainrings as normal Deore or even non Shimano chainrings will work as well, just make sure the BCD is compatile(Distance between the chain ring bolts)
