Ride Description: It’s 947 time again and we’ve decided that this will be a useful training ride for those doing it, as well as those that simply want to improve their fitness. This is a ride for all as there are virtually no technical sections, other than at the top of the hill. It is a simple ride on a dirt road that gently climbs and steadily the gradient increases, until it is one brutal climb. Red group will climb to the top of the hill and the Blue group may want to go over the hill and back again.The Yellow and Green riders can also enjoy a training ride at their own pace and enjoy the company of the others and will not go to the top of the hill. This is not a ride for those wishing to demonstrate their skills, but rather to improve fitness at their own pace and enjoyment. It is really worth the effort! Directions: Take the N1 South until 14th Avenue turnoff. Follow Hendrick Potgieter for 14.4 km until the N14. Follow the N14 towards Krugersdorp for 10.8km. Turn towards Hekpoort and continue for 22.6kmTurn left at the T-junction and pass a garage.
