Thanks KT Cycles!

Last week Sunday started off as a chilled ride with a mate at Giba. Everything was going great until we got to the top of Blue Route by the quarry and my freewheel hub jammed. I fiddled for a few minutes but no luck. I removed the chain and did the rest of the route chainless.

I stopped in at KT Cycyles on the way to work on Monday morning to get a new one but they had no stock. They said they would order one but needed a hub model number. I WhatsApped a pic of the hub to Kovilan on Monday evening when I got home.

On Tuesday morning I spoke to them and said that I needed the part by Wednesday if possible so that I could re-assemble my wheel for the weekend. I collected the hub on Wednesday afternoon and the bike was back together by 7pm ready for the weekend.

I am not a regular at the shop so didn't expect any special treatment. but I was kept in the loop the whole time via whatsapp and phone calls as to what was happening.

They even had another shop on standby to get stock from in case their delivery didn't arrive on time.

If this is the kind of service that I got as a walk in customer, they will definitely see me again! Thanks again to Kovilan and KT Cycles

I got my first mtb from KT Cycles, when they were Hattons Cycles. Been going to them for years, really a great bunch of people and a great shop. Kovilan will go out of his way to help if he can.

It used to be my LBS way back in the early 90's pre MTB when we were roadies (Think it may have been Adam's Cycles back then). Owner/manager was a biggish guy at the time. We were students and he would let us but on credit and pay at the end of the month. Would just go there for a chat on a Saturday. It was them and Cycle Centre (?) in Old Main Road.

Good customer service generates repeat business and he'll get more business from me for sure. I just hope he keeps 26" spares...... :) sure he'll make a plan though.
