If you could choose one of these tyres MAXXIS DETONATOR WIRE BEAD VS Chaoyang Speed Shark  for a alternative to gatorskins wire bead.

 

Both of them are R150 at my local bicycle shop 

so one pair is R300

one gatorskin is R450 

 

Which one and why

 

Please keep in mind that these tyres will be used for training so got to be budget friendly

Chaoyong Done close to 1500 km on my set. No punctures and plenty km's left on them

I've used detonators and upgraded to gatorskind after that.

 

I used to puncture frequently on detonators. Only once on Gatorskins.

 

I will never buy cheap tyres like that again.

 

Fixing flats diminishes the quality of rides more than the price saving is worth.
