Was quite surprised at the turnout at the race yesterday, expected maybe 200 people....

Was quite a lot more rideres there, and representing all the big teams like Hi-Q; Excel; DiData; teamCS ;

Mauritian National Team (Male & Female); and even Cherry from Bionic as well

Spotted her warming up before the race...

 had to rush off to Sasol Garage to find some Pies and Coke for a fragile Tandem Pilot!!!

When i returned, I found that Cherry had hit a rock and punctured,

She took a spare and was latched on to the back of the teamCS tandem,

with Jaco working hard to wipe out the 2 minute starting gap between the groups

and return Cherry safely back to the Bunch

Jaco & Ren? brought Cherry back to the Bunch,

and then powered away from the other Tandems to take a comfortable win

If Cherry didn't have bad luck this year, she wouldn't have any luck at all!!!

The only other lady in the bunch was protected by her Mauritian male teammates,

Also boxing Cherry in at the finish allowing the Mauritian Lady to get away on the line for the win!!!

Better Luck next time Cherry, At least you got something for the effort

The race was fun, and it was very hard going up the climb just after halfway. It was nice to have some teams present to make the racing more interesting. The wind was also not the best on the way out, but very nice coming back.
