Building a Richey P-650 b

Hi everyone

It's been a few years since i was last on here.

Rode a little less and did a bit more trail running.

I need to build this up for my wife

Frame has been sitting in garage roof for 5plus years.

I was supposed to be SS project but after my boy was born she snapped here previous frame and then we never got to have another bike.

Plant is to build this as light as possible 

She will probably ride it for a year and then my son will take it over if we up grade.

He is getting the school mtb now so soon will be racing flatout...

9years old and for now he is still riding xc with his BmX

American clasic rims ..brand new

Please help with ideas for a fork..what ideas ..650 is scarce and expensive new and recon not more 110mm travel otherwise bike wont ride that well..what do you guys recon

Xt shimano breaks should be good enough?

Not to sure about groupset

Eagle pretty heavy..am sure i can find a second hand set somewhere at not too bad price

Please help me with ideas gow to build this

RockShox SiD WC circa 2016 gets my vote. So light, I have one on my bike and my daughter had one on her 26er and it was pretty bullet proof. Really light and reliable forks and still serviceable. 

I had an old Fox F Series 26” on my hybrid and it also worked like a bomb and fitted the 700cc wheels with 40mm gravel tyres, but that would depend on the tyres you’ll run on your bike. Definitely not more than 2.2. Also still serviceable.
