Sliming a tubbie

Went to my LBS and purchased a new tubbie. At the same time, I purchased a can of tubbie puncture repair "stuff" that you can squirt into the tubbie should you get a puncture on route. I left the stuff in my wheelback as I wanted to keep everything together.

 

Here is the clincher. The shop put on the new tubbie and sprayed the stuff into my new tubbie. Has anyone ever had this before? Is this usual? Will it affect the life of my tubbie? Can I go back to the bike shop and ask for a new can of spray? Their short answer was (and as I didn't pick the wheel up myself) was that they have effectively slimed the wheel.

 

Are they trying to slime me over?
