If it's not an Italian frame' date=' it does not have an Italian BB. Simple. [/quote']

...and if it is Italian (provided that it's fairly modern), it probably has an English BB too. New Bianchis certainly do.

Here's something from a previous post on identifying your BB type:

You can also check by:

1.) Measuring the width of the BB. English thread will be 68mm, Italian 70mm.

2.) Removing the current BB cups. On an English

BB, the drive-side cup will have a left-hand (opposite) thread. The

other will be right-threaded (same idea as with your pedals). On

Italian, both are right-threaded.

3.) Measuring the thread diameter. A bit pointless given that you would have had to do 2.) to get here, but English will have a diameter of about 35mm and Italian 36mm.

How can you tell if you got an English or Italian thread' date=' without removing the Crank or BB. Is it written in the product code. I've got a Shimano BB

HAHAHA... I was hoping it was as simple as that.

So soes that mean Campag only comes in Italian thread??? As it shouldn't be allowed on a non-Italian frame?

No carlo  Campy comes in English and Italian BB's,  depending on your frame.

the Italian BB is not so popular anymore and only some Italian frames spec with an Italian BB.

Shimano also specs an Italian BB not sure about Truvativ or SRAM

Hopes this helps
