Parts from the UK

I would like any comments from ppl that dealt with ChainReactionCycles from the UK.

 

for example: order received in 3-5 days, communication from the source if order could not be delivered in time, import tax etc

They are good. I emailed one of them to find info and they replied the next day. They're prices are also awsome.

I ordered mine on Tuesday night, and the items have already left the UK:

CRC are very good - have been ordering from them for years, even went to the warehouse in 2001......just recent'y received a wrong part from them, they sent me a new part while I posted the wrong order back and the refunded me the return postage and even the VAT that I paid at the post office on the wrong part.....

I was checking out Chain Reaction and was wondering what the extra costs are, if any, over and above shipping? Is VAT at the PO paid at the usual rate, and do any import taxes apply?

EDIT : As far as I know, import duties do not apply to bike parts, only

complete bikes. So there would be no other charges

other than what is paid to the retailing website?
