Hi, Need some advice regarding the above seatpost.

20081112_155322_seatpost_blk.jpg

Seatpost seems to be very good value for money. about R500-R600.

Size 27.2 (form my Roadbike)

Weight 150 grams for 235mm or 200 grams for 300m.

1. I have a carbon frame, stem and bar, will changing the seatpost to alu make a difference in the feel of the bike? The carbon post that came with the bike is heavy and has a slight piece of carbon missing where the bolts for the saddle screw into the seatpost.

2. Do anybody have experience with American classic seaposts?

Thanks

from what i have experienced with american classic overall it is a great product with good after sales service

as far as ride feel other than if you get your saddle height wrong i dont think carbon or alu makes a difference i have ridden both carbon and alu and spend loads of time on my bike and still dont feel the difference

for that price i am sure it is a pretty good deal but remember that you might find the exact saddle post for less under a different brand name not trying to make you change your mind but i am sure there is something that kiwi or tokenfreak will be able to offer you for a competitive price and at a similar weight

send them a pm i am sure they will be able to help you out
