As the lower cylinder categories start to take
shape, there have been plenty of riders swapping machinery since the last race
of 2008 in Valencia. Although he won?t be featuring in a 125cc race anytime
soon, Olympic Cycling Champion Samuel Sanchez didn?t want to feel left out of
proceedings, the Spaniard undertaking laps of the Jerez circuit courtesy of
Blusens BQR.

On Monday Sanchez swung his leg over the Aprilia
machine used by Efren Vazquez to win the 125GP title in the CEV Buckler Spanish
Championship, sporting an exclusive set of leathers for the event. The test ride
took place over the course of a morning, and included stints on bikes used in
the Formula Extreme and Supersport categories.

`It was a great experience, and everyone treated
me fantastically. I had a strong desire to ride one of these bikes, and the
feeling was incredible,? enthused Sanchez. `I have always admired roadracers,
and after what I?ve seen today my respect for them is even
greater.?

Sanchez has declared himself open to the option
of becoming involved in the world of motorcycling upon his retirement from
competition.
