I heard the other day that moto-cross riders now put balls into the tyres, and this would then prevent it from going totally flat, when they get a puncture.

I am curious to know whether it would also work in a tubeless mountain bike tyre when you get a flat, or will the tyre just come off.

Has anybody tried it?

Saw an online ad for these things.

They look like small round balloons, the type the circus clowns use, placed inside the tube all the way round the tyre. The theory is if one goes your tyre still stays inflated. Was a sales video so all was good and not objective.

I still dont know how they pumped them up.

Motocross ridets use a 'mousse' ........... bit like a hi-tech perma tube.

There are some ball type things  inserted into tyres or tubes which help with balancing issues.
