I suppose this can't be impossible nor that difficult.  How to put a trip computer on one of these ?  Just would like to see distance, time and current speed actually. Jackes17542008-12-09 03:24:44

Exactly the same as on a bicycle. Measure the diameter of the flywheel, log it into your computer and rig the pickup so it works. Be carefull when you lower or heighten the handlebars as yoou will break the wires from the speed sensor/pickup. Wireless works so much better.

We had a Cateye with a cadence meter rigged to the one spinning bike and on the other my Polar speed sensor as well as cadence sensor.

The cadence measurement is rather more important on the spinning bike as "distance" is arbitary. Spinning exercises not only aerobic and thresholds, but also improves your cadence vs power in controlled conditions, but remember NOTHING can duplicate actual road conditions. Ave HR will be lower than on the road due to not having to "balance" etc.
