Home built wheel truing stand - now painted

I got the e-book, "Professional Guide to Wheel Building" by Roger Musson as a Christmas present. It contained instructions to build a wheel truing stand. Below is the semi-finished stand. Seems to be very sturdy. I will most likely paint it today. I am NOT the worlds greatest carpenter but it was fairly easy to assemble. The book can be ordered from www.wheelpro.co.uk and costs US$ 15-00

My "workbench" behind the stand.

The two arms bolt onto the base and makes for easy transporting. Instructions to build simple truing tools is also given. I am now also making my own stand for a dial guage.

Yes it is made of 25 mm pine "shutterboard" pine made with two thin pieces of pine veneer and laminated pine strip. We use it to make formwork for structures. The guages are for lateral truing and radial truing and have not been made yet. Instructions are given in the plans for them as well. The dial indicater stand I am busy with now. All stands are loose standing on the base. If neccesary the will be weigted. The whole stand will be painted white. I will place photographs of them later.

A good workman does not need fancy tools. A joy to create something out of nothing!!!!!!! and it pleases MY eye!!!!!!!
