Guest Big H Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 We came all the way from Angola for todays race. Earlier in the week my cold started and I did everything I could to cure it. Yesterday I felt extremely good and though we will be able to take part today. Last night before going to bed my eyes started itching and during the night I woke up with my eyelids almost gummed together with and eye infrction. We then decided to call it a day. Damns, damn damn damn!!!!!! We should have started just now........ I am really disappointed!!!!!!!! Maybe there is a reason for this!!!!!!
Daxiet Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I'm in the similar boat, should have been off at 5:55 this morning, but have come down with some cold like thing (over due for a cold, been about 5 months of perfect health). Road a MTB race yesterday and realised my health was a bit off and today I am paying for the sins of yesterday.But you're definetly in a worse boat, to travel all that distance and not to be able to race.

Guest Big H Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Hard luck but maybe it was a sign!? You are maybe right, I am not supersticious, but first the wheel, then my cold, then my eye infection. Went to Moot Hospital and the Doc gave me antibiotics for the eyes as well as eye drops. Said we made a wise decision not to ride!!!!!!
