Difficult to really compare. MDK555 had one for long and was full of praise for the frame.

Yep - was an awesome bike and had it for 4 years. Only problem I had was the BB's but Cape Cycle Systems were fantastic with their backup service and once they found the problem it fortunatley was fixed.

 

Mike, did your Tandem also have the Quando Tandem Sealed Bearing Hubs fitted? I cannot find any reference on the Internet to these Hubs. I do find hubs under Quando but not Tandem Hubs. I did however find a posting that says Quando and Joytech are/were the same company. I have Joytech hubs on the MTB Tandem for my slick wheels and they work extremely well.

 

Whilst on the topic of Hubs, my road tandem, el rapido is also now in Angola and the hubs on this bike are made by Chosen. The Chosen hubs and the Mount hubs are made by the same company. I am looking for a freehub for these hubs.
