What bike? Is a medium to small for me?

I am sure you guys must be tired of these topics. I am unfortunately a bit of a noob and don't have access to the level of expertise as unbiased as this forum so therefore I have no option but to ask the question.

I am 115kgs (hopefully less soon), 1.93m tall.

I bought myself a Raleigh Nomad back in 2007 and have enjoyed every second of it. As my ability has improved the bike is unfortunately falling short of my requirements and am therefore looking for a suitable replacement. Like most people these days I don't have a huge budget, embarrassingly only about R10k - R12k max.

I have looked at a few options under the classified section and have been drawn to the Mongoose Khyber Elite. I think it would suit my needs as I don't do much XC stuff but rather enjoy trails and fast tracks with allot of technical areas.

My questions therefore are as follows:

  • Would this bike be too small for me?
  • Is there a better option bike for my price range?
I know these qustions might have obvious answers to some, but please remember I am new to the higher range of bikes on the market so any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
