Manitou R7 Shocks

What is the opinion of Manitou R7 shocks? I'm busy buying a new bike but I am unsure about the shock's having only had exposure to Rock Shock before. The sales man said the Manitou's helped his technical riding.

I got one a few weeks ago, I love mine. No probelms so far. I have the MRD version, you get 5clicks, I just use the 1st 3 really, 1 one is very bouncy, 2de is what I rid ein 80% of the time and the 3de is close to lock out when powering up hills.

 

Only k@k is going to come in if I need to have this puppy serviced. Apparnetly not going to be cheap?
