gear are slipping

Hi all

 

please cound some one help me. i just put in a new gear cable last night (rear der-X0) and all the gears work perfectly except for gear2. every other gear changes 100% but when you want to go into 2nd gear it either doesn't move from the 3rd gear or it jumps up to 1st gear. the der is in correct allignment to the top and bottom gears. how do i get it right?

If you gently coax the RD into that gear after you've shifted but it refused to go there under its own steam, and it stays in that gear without a noise, then you either have a sticky something somewhere or, the B-tension screw needs to be turned so that the guide pulley comes closer to the sprockets.

You say you changed the cable, but did you change outer and inner? Are all the cable joints where it meets cable stops on the frame aligned?
