porky Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 A biker was killed in a crash this morning en-route from worcester to the buff. I think theres regularly crashes and deaths at these rallies, usually a by product of too much alcohol, bravado and tetosterone. In my younger days I went to a few Buff events but the Mad Martin rally was my fav, usually held up in the Prieska area near Upington - crazy stuff, used to ride there from Johannesburg with only a change of socks, a small pup tent and bottle or two of whatever was on special at the store - anybody elses go to one? Although I still ride a bike, its now a cruiser with a full screen, foot boards (no weeny little pegs for me) a cd player, saddle bags a rider and pillion backrest and a huge 2 cylinder engine which struggles past 120kms. - no more of that adrenaline pumping, front wheel off the ground speed stuff for me I am afraid, - now I am a fair weather biker - sadly that means I only do about 1000 kms a year, but hey,..........its all about the style now........................or so I heard.!
