I have a bike that need's to be converted into a single speed.

Can I use the interchangeble bmx casset on a 8 speed hub?

I have seen the kit at crc and was thinking of making my own spacers and tensioner, but need to know about the sproket.

mmmmm...do you want an answer or a date? haha!...bmxes don't have cassettes, they are threaded. you need one of the rings from an old cassettes.

I saw a gt bmx in a shop, with a extra set of "casset" like spokets, similar to the ones you would find in the conversion kit.
