Missing a Pinarello?

I just had a dude drop by my office, obviously looking for buyers down the main road.

 

Clearly a non-cyclist. So I go check it out.

 

In his boot is a Silver Pinarello, quite old and specc'ed with Sora STI's and Mavic C22 rims or something, with Schwalbe tires. Accross the top tube was a decal " ...& brooks" I couldnt quite make it all out.

 

He says he has three altogether.

 

I got his number.

YES! A cycling friend of mine crashed during the 09 Argus, at Misty Cliffs riding a Pinarello. He went into the ambulance while his very special bike went onto the sweep vehicle - never to be seen again.

 

I will contact my friend. How can i get your/the sellers contact detail?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but as I can remember that was a Pinarello Prince that was stolen at the Argus - guess those bikes don't come with sora ....

That's a 120K ride there.. maby this is a different bike and indecent.

The seller mentioned 3 Pinarellos (must be a collector ) - hence my reply. Have contacted my friend and he said that he is still missing his Prince!

I highly doubt this guy has the prince. This one did look crashed, but if it was a prince I would know. Looks like rhs sti was damaged. Black bar tape.

It was a red prince and it seemed only slightly damaged during the crash. I will ask my friend to contact you directly and check out this thread. Were the other 2 pinarellos also for sale?
