didnt dan craven win some race in namibia 2yrs ago on a bike with down tube shifters?

 

Maybe 'cause you can't even get a new bike for around 5k anymore unless it's older than my Peejou.

 

EDIT: Even if I could afford a 50k bike, I wouldn't buy it. I don't think there is any value in it for me. My old farm gate works so why bother changing it?

 

BTW, 9 Speed is over rated. I love going up a hill faster than some poser dude on his full carbon bike and seeing the look on his face when I loudly say "nice bike. If I can do this on mine, imagine whet I could do on that fine bike."
