So how good is a Garmin 705?

I've had mine for 6/7 months and love it. Mind you, I've probably never used 50% of the features.

Someone posted a link to a SA online shop not long ago where the 705 was R4799-00 and the 305 was R2899-00

 

Will see if I can find the link again.

They have options with/without Cadence, and with/without maps from R4599 to R5599

 

Be very carefull with which shops you use online, as many of these are offering units which are not supported with a local backup/warranty.

Also, if you do decide to buy from a place such as CRC, it will be approximately R 4500 after postage/taxes/duties etc anyway. No maps, no backup.

Avnic gave me awsome service when my Edge went down so back up is there. Not sure about warrenty issues but service is there.
