BrendonMyb Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I see a lot of people ask the same question & im sitting in the same predicament & try not to pry what people paid to have their bikes sprayed but im curiousI dont specifically want the entire bike sprayed, Just my fork legs but it seems no one can help me. I want to have it sprayed candy white to match my white frame. Perhaps those that have had sprays done before can perhaps give me a ball park figure Now the big question is: What can i expect to pay for a spray done professionally on my fork legs + - . I already know what its going to cost me if i do it by myself.
AndreZA Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 When it comes to candies, metallics, pearls or basically any colour, it is difficult to match colours. It will cost R800-1200 and for a little bit more you can get the whole frame done and all will look like it matches.

My frame is pearl white & i definately dont wanna change that, I love that color, but the forks are black at the moment & i want them candy white. Saw a pic of a commencal with white rock shox rebas on a pearl white frame & it just WOWED me so ive decided to do it as well At that cost im wondering if it isnt then worth my while doing it myself then ?
AndreZA Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 To spray the lowers is nothing, it's the crown that will be the problem. You can not remove the stactions. I was think of doing it myself aswell with rattle can spray. Sand it down good, apply a good undercoat and then build up the colour over that.

Problem is now ive already taken the legs off & the stanchions are lying covered up in the garage so im basically almost forced to have the fork legs sprayed as i orginally wanted to do or asemble the fork again & leave it as isBumpNgrind2009-05-27 08:26:35
