most people have too much pressure on thier hands because thier core strength is not up to scratch or thier bars are too low for them.

try turning your stem up and also start working on your core because the less you have to rely on your hands for balance the more enjoyable your riding will be

This could be a combination of 3 things...

1. your bars being a bit to low putting to much pressure on your hands

2. insufficient support/padding from the grips (here I would highly recommend Ergon)

3. have a look at the angle of your wrist when you ride. Try to keep it as straight as possible (which is not always possible)

So I changed my grips on Saturday for the ride on Sunday, got some Specialized grips, forget the exact name now, very similar to the Ergon grips and R100 cheaper.... no more numbing or paining in the hands Big%20smile

FL (that's short for Fruitloop) - check that you saddle is perfectly level - if the nose is pointing slightly downwards it will put subtle extra pressure on your hands and cause this - this advice comes from my own experience!!

Well i know youve found your solution which i hope helps you all the time going forward.

My problem was cramping hands but that was due to me gripping my handlbars too tightly subconciesly ( spelling sucks - Actaully how do you spell that ? ) & then my ring finger would also be excrusiatingly sore at the joints. It still hurts but thats my fault cause i still grip too hard & only realise it when its too late

Ja that's what I had as well with aching joints in the fingers, wouldn't say they were completely 100% through out the ride, but a lot better than before
