I still can't see how they can justify that price for such a little bit of CO2.

 

Yeah, I know that one pays for the packaging as part of the price, but like they should recycle all those bomb casings and be more realistic about pricing.

Soda streams are cheaper to refill... so why not get a R5 discount for bringing empty bombs back to your LBS.

I use a pump. Its free!

 

R15 to save 2 min = R450 per hour!

 

When I am good enough that 2 min counts. Then R15 probably won't matter.

I use my floor pump at home and am fastidious about pressures, it minimizes punctures.

 

Then I just carry one bomb even on training rides. It's a must for races.

I still need to get a CO2 Pump - will rather pay a few bucks more and get a thread-less model, then at least I can use catering CO2 cartridges.

 

EDIT: A quick google made me realise that I should ask the local air rifle shop for CO2 gas cartridges.
