I spoke to previous owner and he said the reason for the deore derailer was because of the 34/11 setup. Tho I cant imagine why anyone would ride small chainring in front and small gear at back? Ccommon sense tells you never to ride 2 extreme gears. Anyways - it appears the deore is MTB equivalent of 105. I've never had any problems and it rides like a dream. And besides, small chainrings are for woesies . We hubbers only use big chainrings on the hills, right?
