My Hayes stroker trail disc brakes have always run fairly rough, and now squeel like crazy.. i have taken the pads out, and given a light sanding, thinking they were glazed or contaminated... even worse now, braking performance is now bad, and squeeling worse???

why has this happened, and how do i remedy??
