Hi after a strange turn of events i broke the pin in the one small gear on my derailer. now I thought I could just replace the pin (as I have all the other parts needed) but after taking down to Life Cycles in Parklands CT they say I have to replace the whole thing at R700 for just the part

here a pics

it just the pin in that seemed to have broken which is seems to be press fitted in. Do i really have to replace the whole thing?

Did not look at the pics, but I can say (without too much fear of contradiction) that they are hard to fix. Jockey wheel pins you can get. Other pins too - but not from big S.

thought i would give a update, took my bike around to teknix and I must say what service, within 5min he had they thing resembled using some old pasts from old derailers for nothing. Booked my bike in for a service while I was at it.
