Deraileur Cage length

Stupid Question: What cage length should I be using on an Anthem 1 (doing mostly CC type riding and doing the Epic next year) and what does this influence?

 

Also, what are people's views on std vs rapid rise RD's - or is this down to personal preference?

On a full suss you should be using a med to long cage to allow moement of the suspension, As for std or rapid rise a std is meant for use with rapidfire shifters and a rapid rise is meant for use with the "paddle" or dual control levers. Although you can interchange them...
