Commuting : Parklands to Century City

I'm considering commuting to work.  From parklands there are only 2 ways really to get to Century City... other down Koeberg or along Otto Du Plessis.  I'm wondering which is the safest atm?  It's either fight with taxis or dodge road works?  Anyone else use either of these routes?

Hi

I commute daily from Blouberg Sands to Century City. Go past Dolphin Beach Hotel up to Paddocks then join up with the "temp cycle lane" in Milnerton. At Milnerton High school at the circle turn left up to Police Station and all the way up to Century City. Do this daily leaving @ 06:00 from home and leave work @ 16:00. At the traffic lights at paddocks if you are comming from parklands side , look to the far left corner where they turn onto otto from race course road . You will see a path and a sign Big%20smileleet222009-11-03 23:54:32

I cycle from Parklands to Mowbray daily. I go down Gie and onto Koeberg, all the way through to Maitland. The only stretch along Koeberg that's a bit dodgy is from the caltex garage through to Plattekloof Rd. Not much shoulder there. If you're leaving after 6:30 the traffic is usually so backed up it's not much of an issue.
