Hi Guys

 

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a few questions I have about the powertap Pro and the SL

 

1. What is the difference between the pro and sl

version other than the hub weight and axel thickness?

2. What is significant about the 12mm vs 15mm

axel?

 

Also I was wondering are these systems both wireless?

Are you talking about the Pro and SL or the Pro+ and SL+?

 

The Pro and SL are old models and are not wireless. Here's a spec comparison:

Major differences: SL has an aluminium axle and freehub; Pro a steel axle and freehub.

 

The new, wireless, models are the SL+ and Pro+ (+ stands for ANT+ wireless).

The SL+ has a carbon/aluminium hubshell and comes in silver or black models. The Pro+ comes only in silver and has an aluminium hubshell.

 

If materials are the same, then a 15mm axle will be lighter than a 12mm axle that can resist the same loads.
