Geezlike.

Didnt realise it was that complicated.

maybe thats why im battling.

I just have the seat so i can reach the pedals!

is there somewhere i can go for bike setup?

Just dont go to the lab (SL)

Best guy would be dr swart but he is in CT. Surely you'll find someone up there. A bike shop setup usually not that good. (are exceptions though)

Have you thought of putting it lower and further back at the same time?

Lower to save your knees. Further back to recruit your glutes instead of only your quads? They are more efficient muscles too.

mmmm..

but then it screws with the rest of the setup again - reach etc ? Or is this what you do if you lower the saddle you have to move it back a bit as well ?

Does not make sense to me. The angle of the seatpost one would think if going lower - move saddle forward a bit to stay over the crank... ?

If you move it back your more behind the crank and then more pressure on quads .... ?

Confusedor am I just not leka today ?

Yes your reach would be affected, but Your primary concern is too quad intensive position. So if you set your saddle backwards it will make your glutes work. not your quads. try it without adjusting anything, slide over the back of the seat and feel  it yourself.

If your legs are happy, then you can always swap out the stem for a shorter one.
