You'll need a bit more than a socket or two, you'll need a pin punch and a hammer and a buddy. If you have some technical savvy, it isn't difficult at all. Just take VERY carefull note (camera, notepad etc) of where the various spacers go that are packed alongside those bearings.

 

The buddy will be for holding the frame/suspension member absolutely flat on the flat surface while you hammer away.

 

Make sure you have the right bearings. Preferrably not standard cartridge bearings but something like Enduro's Max range that has extra grease and tight seals. Friction in suspension members is not a problem like in wheels for instance and the extra grease and seals make a difference in longebity.

 

The Enduro bearing kit is also much, much cheaper than the OEM product.

 

PM me if you need help in sourcing these. You may also need some of the spherical bushings for the shock eyes. These are really difficult to source in stainless.
