The best lights available are ayup's.

The V4 set is superb. It come with a wide angle for your handle bars and a narrow beam for your helmet.

Very light, and the best mount on the market.

The helmet light is hardly noticible on your head - weighs nothing.

These are definatly the lightest (powerfull) lights available.

Most of the pro's use them.

Hi All,

I am looking at getting either the Magicshine MJ-808 or MJ-816, they look like really good value for money and seem decent. Does anyone have any experience using either model for mountain biking, would appreciate the feedback.

Hi GT1,

You may need to rethink that need for a Magicshine, on www.mtbr.com there is an review of bike lights, in the article Magicshine lights are mentioned.

"And the great value light, Magicshine has stumbled. With thousands sold and a year of use or sitting on the shelf, many batteries and chargers are failing. The shortcuts in testing, quality and materials seem to be surfacing with battery problems. A ‘stop use immediately’ has been issued by the largest distributor as they mobilize to issue a recall and a resolution to buyers."
