very old trek 1000

Help please! I have an old trek 1000 with an 8 spd sora. Does anyone know:

1) the thread on the BB (english or eyetie)

2) What size the band on FD is?

 

Am looking at asking CRC to send a new 9 spd drivetrain for my birthday.

 

Anything else I should know about rebuilding with a tiagra groupset?

I didn't, and I do! Thanks Fenix, will look into it. Would still need to replace derailleurs, cluster and sti's?

Aaar, fermented anything Slow! My particular fermentation preferences include barley, hops and malt, as well as that particular type of single malt fermentation process that the Scots are famous for. Bike parts from Mommy and the kids.
