................., struggled a lot with the climbing (was training for a sub 3 and only just managed a sub4), but thougt it was just not my day. Yesterday I went out for another training ride, and I was REALLY struggeling. I've trained through winter and usually do a 80km training ride in less than 2,5 hours taking it easy. Yesterday it took me nearly 3 hours, with absolutely no power in my legs. I've gone for some blood tests, but they are clean. I'm really concerned. Maybe overtrained, I really do not know....

What do you guys think... I've heard about "dead legs" from over training, but I'm not sure. After a cycle I feel fine, but during a cycle my heartrate is also a lot higher than usually... What should I do...

It really feels like my preformance has gone backwards by about a year.

I'm really worried

This happened to me as well. Someone told me it could be an Iron deficiency and I took some iron on Friday and it made a HUGE difference on my training ride on Saturday.

Google Iron deficiency. Your body uses iron to make hemoglobin which carries the oxygen in your blood. Now as soon as you go up an hill, you body ask for more oxygen and then there isn't any which is when you get loss of power. (this my my simple explanation- I am sure the clever people will correct me in a hundred ways) But also read that you should take care not to drink to much because that is not good either.
