DuncanCT Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I have just bought a Anthem X 29er and was wondering what it would take to convert to a double? Would i need to change the front and/or rear detailer? Have only seen XTR double cranks. Are there XT versions? Is there any theory for wheel size to gear ratio? Does a 29er need to run different gear ratios to 26er? Any info would help thanks!
101SCC Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 If you spin on the climbs, keep a granny for those 29er wheels. 29er is great when up to speed, acceleration not as sharp.
brussel Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I have a 29er with XT cranks I recently got a double set of rings that use the inner and middle blades only from Chain Reaction. They are blackspire and I use a 38/26 combination with an 11-34 at the back
