fabes Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Hi guys I was lucky enough to get 2 tickets to U2 in Cape Town for tomorrow night so i have decided to take my tri bike with as i am in the middle of Ironman Training as we have heard there are some nice scenic routes out in Cape town so can one of the Capies suggest a nice route to cycle on Saturday morning. Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Head out of town via Western Boulevard through the Waterfront, into Beach Road, Mouille Point, Sea Point, Bantry Bay into Victoria Road, Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak, Black Hill, Simonstown, Smitswinkel Bay, Scarborough, Kommetjie, back over Chapmans Peak and Llandudno to Camps Bay. If you fancy a killer hill at this point you can ride up The Glen past Camps Bay High School and up over Kloof Nek back to town, or for a flatter route continue past Camps Bay High School along Kloof Road for an upper level view all the way back to town via High Level Road. Should be about 110km. There are many great places to stop for coffee along the way - Camps Bay Vida, Hout Bay Chapmans Peak Hotel, Noordhoek Farm Village (bottom of chappies), Simonstown Jubilee Square etc.. Enjoy! Kalk Bay is nice too if you don't fancy doing Chappies twice - then head over boyes drive and through Constantia and over the nek to get back to Hout Bay. Edited February 17, 2011 by Lucky Luke.
