Ok, this should give you some idea of the 2 hills (thanks in advance RaymondC for the PS yr itching to do .. ) This was from the Jnr Race tho the rest of the route is FLAT, and it gets windy as the day goes on, AND there is no shelter (and no trees, and nothing else that gives shade!)

If you look up the road, to the right behind the black /dark car - there is a turquoois object -- that is where Jay Thompson & David George crashed - on the last turn down to the sprint finish!

On lap 5 (last lap) approx 15km to go ... LADIES FINISH Elite FINISH And my personal hero of the day (and not to take anything from anybody) - the Winner of the U/23 race - Clinton Barrow, 1st year u/23 and in a break for 185 of the 195km

The break - lap 4 (by now the riders have split in 3 groups, if they we're still riding. .. ) the ostriches enjoyed the racing! Nic - has wings

Ladies

Just a very quick pick from today racing: Men & Ladies elite race Ladies did 3 laps x 39km, the Men - 5laps of 39km. Race started 12h00 in Oudtshoorn .. nuf said. Route mostly flat with one slight uphill drag and one short but painfully sharp climb. See pics later - i promise the camera was horisontally level break on lap 1. One rider stayed in the break till the end. See later James Perry Burry on the sharp climb. Still lap 1

Hendrik 4th in $ JP 6th and you 7th!! WELL DONE!!
